The Sky of Silver Lining

Wherever you were before, clearly you are not there now. It doesn't matter when or where you were, only that now you're here. On the other side of a portal that looks like it's made of shimmering water. If you pay attention you can see the feint outline of what you left behind, moments in time that go on without you. But, try as you might if you're so inclined, an invisible barrier keeps you from stepping back the other way.

You're stuck here now. But it's okay, Aerolia welcomes you with its wide expanse of clouds and thin air around this sky island you're stuck on. Being taunted by the portal you can't pass through as it plays and replays the following few minutes after your departure.

Depending on your time of arrival, it could be up to an hour before you see the small craft that comes to get you, a man with few teeth that smiles crookedly at you. This man has a package for you and a word of caution about the edge of the islands being dangerous for fella's without at least a parachute. Which, by the way, is one of the items in the box.

What's in the box, though? Funny you should ask. Inside is a simple black wrist band (other colors provided on trade), a card with 100 credits, a small package that contains your parachute, and a note from the Mayer saying you have a free room at the local inn for the first month after your arrival. Also, a nice pamphlet on how your wrist band works.
